watch the trailerAbraham Charles is a London-based founder and CEO in the influencer marketing and branding industry. Born to a Jamaican-West Indian family, his work ethic was shaped early on while helping in his father’s upholstery business - picking up fabrics, crafting buttons, and learning discipline from a very young age. Growing up in a large family of entrepreneurs and athletes, he carried that sense of responsibility into his teens and early twenties, balancing paper rounds, supporting family businesses, and later building nightlife and entertainment ventures of his own. His corporate journey took him through multiple agencies, where he developed resilience, adaptability, and a deep network that became the foundation of his career. Eventually, he transitioned into entrepreneurship - driven by a long-standing vision to build his own agency, create tech platforms, and offer real value to clients long before they spent a single pound. His path included major professional milestones, personal sacrifices, and a period during COVID where he rebuilt his business from zero. Today, Abraham leads a growing organisation, mentoring teams, working with global brands, and continuously evolving through insights from world-class mentors.
In this session, Abraham shares the story of how discipline, resilience, and authentic self-expression shaped his entrepreneurial journey. He speaks about starting from the bottom - crafting buttons in his father’s workshop - and how those early experiences built the confidence to try, fail fast, and keep moving forward. He opens up about the challenges of entering the marketing industry, building networks, navigating agency cultures, and stepping onto stages despite a deep fear of public speaking. Abraham explains how authenticity anchors every decision: understanding trends, giving value before receiving, and building strong relationships that last years. He also breaks down practical advice for young professionals and interns entering the world of marketing: analysing insights, studying audiences, understanding demographics, and learning to create strategies rooted in real data. He shares the importance of long-form content, leveraging partnerships, and testing-and-learning as the true engine of growth.
